Sumran Ali received his Bachelor of Business and Information Technology (BBIT) from the University of Punjab in 2013, MPhil in public administration and PhD from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2017 and 2024. He is working as a Post-doctoral fellow at the School of Management, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Additionally, he got the Excellence Academic Award in 2023 from USTC. He also served as a research associate on ecological conservation, green transition, sustainability and food science at the University of Vechta, Vechta Institute of Sustainability Transformation in Rural Areas (VISTRA), Vechta, Germany. He also served as the editorial board member for "Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods." His main research interests include innovation strategy, green innovation, open innovation, social innovation, social entrepreneurship, GM food and Crops, food quality and preference, sustainable food, and Tourism. His research work has also been published in prestigious journals like the IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Financial Innovation, European Journal of Innovation Management, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Food Quality and Preference, GM Crops & Food, Foods, Asian Journal of Social Science, Journal of Public Affairs, and Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies.
