Professor JIANG Li received undergraduate education from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with major in Power System Automation in the School of Power Electronics and Information Engineering and minor in Industrial Foreign Trade in Antai College of Business Administration. From 2002 to 2006, he studied at Ross School of Business at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, majoring in Operation and Management Science, and devoted to the study of balancing supply and demand in decentralized supply chain networks. He obtained the Qualification Certificate for Senior Executive Education in August 2005, and was awarded PhD degree in December 2006. Professor Jiang worked in the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies, Faculty of Business, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2007 to 2025, successively serving as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor, and participating in faculty management in various capacities and the development of MBA, EMBA, CMBA, DBA and DMgt programs; and joined the Faculty of Business for Science and Technology/School of Management of the University of Science and Technology of China as Chair Professor in April 2025. 


Professor Jiang teaches undergraduate, MBA and DBA subjects on operation management and supply chain management, and PhD subjects on optimization theory and game theory. He has extensive contacts with business community and provides operations and supply chain strategic consulting services to both domestic and multi-national companies. Professor Jiang’s main research interests are in supply chain information management, supply chain financing, data-driven operation decision making, two-sided market analysis and design, credence goods market and behavioral operation. His academic papers have been published in Management Science, Manufacturing and Service Operation Management, Production and Operation Management and Naval Research Logistics, and have been widely cited. He has been serving in the editorial boards for various journals. Professor Jiang has been the PI or Co-I for General Research Fund (GRF) grants administered by The Hong Kong Research Grants Council (7), general projects administered by The National Natural Science Foundation of China (2), and key projects administered by The National Natural Science Foundation of China (1). His completed NSFC projects were rated as excellent or outstanding. During his tenure at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Jiang was awarded PolyU Business School Fellow in 2012, 2017, and 2022, and won awards for outstanding contributions to teaching, research and scholarly activities multiple times. His students have won best-paper awards at international and national conferences. Professor Jiang received the Certificate for Outstanding Scholarly Contributions by the European Operational Research Society in 2018, selected as Lotus Scholar by The Department of Education in Hunan Province in 2019, selected as National Major Talent Program Chair Professor in 2021, and selected for National Innovative Talent Long-term Project in 2022. His research team received special award for outstanding scientic and technological achievements by The Department of Education in 2025.
